7th Grade/2nd & 3rd Period: Both classes finished class exercise 52 (and thus the chapter on dependent clauses) in the Gold Book. We also did the quiz on writing complex sentences. Tomorrow both classes will do quiz #34 on minimizing dependent clauses. The test on dependent clauses will either be Thursday or Friday depending on when you guys would prefer.
8th Grade/4th Period: No class today -- floater four. Tomorrow the Michael Lewis zinger is due.
8th Grade/6th Period: Today we did a quiz on conclusion-writing and then a special project on haiku. Good times. Tomorrow we will have a conclusion in-class writing assignment.
HOOPER PROJECT: Congrats to Tommy Reese, R2-D2, and John Freeman for knowing that the Charlie Brown Christmas Special features Luke's Gospel. I'm so thrilled about it that instead of the promised three points, all three will get SIX points.
