Just a quick update, gentlemen, at 11pm Monday night as I continue to deflate the pile of ungraded essays on my desk here at Writing Program Headquarters.
First of all, 7th graders -- you have a quiz the next time I see you (tomorrow for 3rd period, Thursday for 2nd period). I haven't written it yet, but I will. Oh, I will. It will be very similar to exercises 47 and 48 in the Gold Book: defining and identifying dependent markers and clauses.
8th graders, I'm hustling to finish everything I owe you, including graded essays, zingers, limericks, and a model 2G essay for you. I think I can, I think I can...
