7th Grade/2nd Period: No class today. Thursday we'll do the "S or NS" quiz, based on exercise 14 in the Gold Book.
7th Grade/3rd Period: No class today. Quiz Thursday will be on clause vocabulary (identical to ex. 16).
8th Grade/4th Period: No class today. No class Thursday -- floater four.
8th Grade/6th Period: No class today. Thursday we will finish up the worksheets I handed out today.

Tonight, in honor of the opening of the baseball playoffs, some diamond Hoopers. Three points to the first and one to each additional Comper who can tell me: (a) Who threw the only no-hitter in post-season history, (b) Who earned the nickname "Mr. October" for his playoff heroics?, and (c) Who threw a ten-inning shutout to win game seven of the 1991 World Series?
