Good work today, gentlemen. Quiz grades look good, and classes have been moving along nicely. Now, if only we can get everyone dressed without too much delay, it'll be almost like school.
7TH GRADE/2ND PERIOD - Quiz today on nouns, then class on verbs. QUIZ TOMORROW on verbs.
7TH GRADE/3RD PERIOD - No class today: Floater 3. QUIZ TOMORROW on verbs, then we'll finish with active/passive voice and aggress on pronouns.
8TH GRADE/4TH PERIOD - Quiz today on linking independent clauses, then class on punctuating compound sentences. No class tomorrow: floater 4. QUIZ THURSDAY on compound PT's.
8TH GRADE/6TH PERIOD - Quiz today on linking independent clauses, then class on punctuating compound sentences. QUIZ TOMORROW on compound PT's. In class, we'll do dependent markers, clauses, and PT's, depending on time... Get it? "Depending?" Okay, I'll stop.
HOOPER PROJECT: Congrats to my man Patrick Niedzielski, who jumped the moon for his three Hooper points last night, the only Comper to correctly identify Jupiter as the planet with the most moons (63), Venus and Mercury as the planets with the fewest (zero), and Eugene Cernan as the last man to walk on our moon. Well done, Patrick.
Tonight, in honor of Senators McCain and Obama, one of whom will be our next president, a few Senatorial Hoopers for you to give advice and consent. Three points to the first, and one to each additional Comper who can tell me: (a) Who was the last sitting Senator to be elected president?, (b) Who was the first Senator to go on to be president?, and (c) What was the name of the heroic Senator played by James Stewart in a 1939 movie? Don't waste time fillibustering! Three points are there for the cloturing!
