Friday, September 12
Good first full week, gentlemen. Lots of quizzes, but that's the idea. So far, grades have been good and classroom deportment has been excellent. Keep it up. Now, for the weekend...
7th Grade/2nd Period - Today we did Quiz #4 on pronouns and then started on adjectives. We're going to hold off on the adjective quiz until Tuesday. You do have the homework assignment of coming up with a good and bad adjective for the four nouns left at the end of class. No quiz Monday -- enjoy your weekend.
7th Grade/3rd Period - Quiz #4 on pronouns today, then we did adjectives. We have to finish adjectives on Monday -- no quiz Monday, no homework this weekend.
8th Grade/4th Period - Quiz #4, on Dependent Clauses and Markers, was today. Quiz Monday on DC PTs.
8th Grade/6th Period - No class today - Floater 6. Quiz Monday on DC PTs.
HOOPER PROJECT - Congrats to Chris Whittington, and several others, for going hog wild on Thursday's piggish Hooper. Indeed, the name of the 1995 Academy Award nominated film was Babe, Wilbur was the pig in Charlotte's Web, and Napoleon was the tyrant pig in Animal Farm.
This weekend, three geographic (so to speak) Hoopers. Three points to the first and one to each additional Comper who can tell me where the following can be found: (a) the Isle of Wight, (b) the Rock of Gibraltar, and (c) the Sea of Tranquility. Break out those atlases... or is it atlai? or atli? Adlai?
