Thursday, June 5th
D minus one!
On this, the next to last day of the 2007-08 school year, and a gift day off to boot, I just want remind everyone one last time that your final essays are due tomorrow. Take the day off today and get it done.
And don't turn in scrubby work for your last essays -- they're being mailed to your parents in a few weeks.
HOOPER PROJECT: Upon further review, I have decided to award Tuesday's Hooper points to Matt Hand, who only missed one of the four questions on a technicality. As Matt pointed out, Thomas Jefferson is the godfather of the Democratic Party, Andrew Jackson founded the modern Democratic Party, their theme song is "Happy Days Are Here Again," and it was the 1968 Chicago convention where the Democrats really let their hair down.
Today, the final Hooper of the school year. It's a very simply one I thought we should revisit. Five points to the first and one to each additional Comper who can tell me the title and the author of the book that features the character Hooper, on which the Hooper Project is based?
