HOOPER PROJECT: Big ups to David Englehardt, who slew his Hooper with the big U.S. history trifecta: of course James Monroe issued the Monroe Doctrine – duh – and Theodore Roosevelt issued the Roosevelt Corollary to it. Well done to D-Eng and the four other Hooper-killers who got points last night.

Tonight, Hoopers are heading south to the Lone Star State for some awesome but untaught history, including one of the true Thundercats of American history. To paraphrase Davey Crockett, “You all can go to Hooper, and I will go to Texas!” The questions: (a) In what year did Texas win its independence from Mexico?, (b), What was the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution?, and (c) Who two men led the armies in the battle?
