ATTENTION: 15-POINT PT REVIEW QUIZ WEDNESDAY FOR ALL SECTIONS!

7th Grade/4th Period: Today we tackled class exercise #030 about IDIOT arguments. QUIZ #31 about it tomorrow.

7th Grade/6th Period: Today we did QUIZ #31 on IDIOT arguments and began work on Class Exercise #031 on the compound-complex quintets. No class tomorrow. Wednesday is the PT review quiz, and then we’ll continue with the compound-complex quints.

8th Grade/2nd Period: Today we did QUIZ #31 on the IDIOT arguments. We barely started Class Ex. 031, so we’ll get back on that tomorrow.

8th Grade/Floaters: Today we didn’t really have class because of Gala practice. Tomorrow we’ll do QUIZ #31 on the IDIOT arguments and then get started on the compound-complex quints.

HOOPER PROJECT: Hail Chris “Artoo” Whittington for light-sabering his Hooper by dropping some serious World War II knowledge over the weekend. Of course Whittington knew the Allies were the United States, the Soviet Union, and Great Britain, and that they were led, respectively, by Franklin Roosevelt, Josef Stalin, and Winston Churchill. He also knew the Axis powers were Hitler’s Germany, Mussolini’s Italy, and Hirohito’s Japan. And of course he knew that “Thunder!” was the coded response to “Flash!” during the D-Day invasion.

Today, we’re lining up and knocking down strictly U.S. history Hoopers. Today’s Hooper Project: (a) What U.S. president declared that European powers were no longer permitted to colonize or interfere in the Western hemisphere?, (b) What do we call that still-standing American foreign policy?, and (c) What president added a famous “corollary” to the policy? Hoopers afoot, gentlemen: show no mercy.
