Thursday, 18 October

8th Grade/2nd Period - We had quiz #11 today, and then continued work on the compound sentence PT's, including Class Exercise #007. Quiz #12 tomorrow, based on that exercise, available over in the left hand column.

8th Grade/Float Dogs - We worked on punctuating and PTing tricky compound sentences in Classroom Exercise #008. Quiz #13 tomorrow will be just like the exercise today: you need to underline the IC's, punctuate the sentence, and identify the PT's.

7th Grade/4th Period - No class today. Tomorrow, remember, we have Quiz #12, based on Class Exercise #007, which we did in class on Wednesday. For the quiz, I'll give you the sentence, and you have to: underline the IC's, punctuate it, and identify the PT. After the quiz, we're doing Essay #6 -- extra credit to the guy who comes up with the topic.

7th Grade/6th Period - Quiz #11 tomorrow, based on Classroom Exercise #006 (linked to the left), which we did in class today. You must know about simple/compound/complex sentence, be able to identify the IC's in sentences, and, for extra credit, name the first three compound punctuation templates. Good luck, gentlemen.

EXTRA CREDIT: I will award 10 POINTS to the first student tomorrow who can name all 14 punctuation marks used in English. 10 points, gentlemen -- that's like a whole quiz worth of extra credit. Good luck.
