8th Grade/2nd Period - Started on compound sentences today. Quiz #11 tomorrow, Thursday -- see Class Ex. #007 for practice. What you need to know(all from today's notes):
1) define compound, complex, and simple sentences;
2) identify IC's in given sentences;
3) Extra Credit: the first three compound PT's
8th Grade/Floater - Today we worked on Exercise #007. Quiz #12 tomorrow will be similar in nature to the exercise, if you want to practice on it. Tomorrow, we'll continue on the compound sentence PT's, focusing on the cc's and ca's.
7th Grade/4th Period - No class tomorrow: floater 4. Friday we'll do Quiz #12 (see exercise #007 to the left for review) and Essay #5-- extra credit to whoever comes up with the best idea for an essay topic.
7th Grade/6th Period - No homework; hope everyone did well on their tests. I should get them back to you tomorrow. Tomorrow we'll start on compound sentences; plan for Quiz #11 and an essay on Friday.
